 At the beginning of the story the protagonist, Rainsford, were talking about hunting with his friends, at that time, he thought that animals have no feeling, the prey never fear. That day they were nearby an island called Ship-Trap Island, in the night he heard gun-shots, he wanted to look closely, but just then he fell into the ocean. He got on the island, he found a palatial chateau. After he got in he met Ivan and General Zaroff, Zoraff also likes to hunt, but unexpectedly Zaroff told him he is hunting a kind of animal that can reason, human beings. Rainsford could not accept it, he tried to escape, but just then he found out he is also a prey of Zaroff. He had to survive for three days, at the first day he tried to confuse Zaroff by walking on the same trail again and again and then hide on a tree, but Zaroff seem to know he is there, he made a Malay man catcher and injured Zaroff, the next time Zaroff was with his best dog, he killed it by a Burmese tiger pit, at the last day Zaroff brought the whole pack of hounds, he tied his knife on a young sapling as a trap he learnt in Uganda, which he wish to kill Zaroff, but instead, he killed Ivan, then he was chased by the pack of hounds and without other choice, he jumped into the ocean. Just when Zaroff thought he was dead, he swam back and hid in his bad room, they fought in the room, which the winner can sleep on the bed and the loser will be dogs food, that night Rainsford was sleeping on the best bed he had ever sle
